Two arrested and one investigated for a brawl in which a minor was stabbed in Lanzarote

The fight, which occurred in August, originated from an argument between two groups of people that led to a brawl where one of them, a minor, was stabbed in the back and another suffered head injuries.

The Civil Guard of Lanzarote detained two people and investigated another as alleged perpetrators of a crime of attempted homicide and another less serious crime of injury that occurred in the town of Costa Teguise, as reported by La Voz.

On August 17, the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise became aware of an attack with a bladed weapon on a minor in the vicinity of a leisure area in the town of Costa Teguise. According to the victim and witnesses of the events, a dispute had occurred between two groups of people that led to a fight where one of them, a minor, was stabbed in the back and another suffered head injuries that required stitches. The minor had to be transferred by ambulance to the Jose Molina Orosa hospital.

Once the facts were verified, it became known that one of the witnesses had recorded a video of the alleged aggressors leaving the scene before the arrival of the Agents. Therefore, the agents proceeded to view the aforementioned video, managing to identify one of those involved, 44 years of age.

Likewise, from the statements of the witnesses, it was obtained that the alleged perpetrators might reside in the town of Arrecife and that one of them might have recently been released from prison. After exploring this line of investigation and the steps taken by the investigation group of the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise, the identity of another of the alleged perpetrators of the crime was obtained, recognized by the victim and by the witnesses as the author of the stabbing.

Likewise, the investigation of a third person involved was also carried out as an alleged collaborator in the events, being the owner of the vehicle with which the alleged perpetrators left the scene in the direction of the town of Arrecife.

The proceedings initiated, along with the detainees, were sent to Judicial Square No. 1 and 2, Instruction Section of Arrecife on duty.
